The Friends of The Bowes Museum are holding a Christmas Shopping Evening on Friday 30 November between 5.00-7.00pm. Admission to this event is free and you can see the switching on of the Christmas Tree lights by Rt Hon Harry Vane, High Sheriff of Durham. The Town Cryer will be on hand to lead the celebrations alongside carols from “No Added Sugar” and festive tunes on Northumbrian Pipes. You can visit the Shop for a superb selection of Christmas decorations, food and wine, jewellery, special gifts, books, cards, diaries, calendars and much more. You can also enjoy festive treats in Café Bowes, including a special Christmas Meal at 7.00pm in Cafe Bowes (please pre-book your meal on 01833 690606).
A Christmas Raffle will be drawn at the Carol Concert on Friday 7 December with the following prizes:
