Winners
The Bowes Museum Balloon Race
The Bowes Museum held a balloon race on Wednesday 1st September to raise money for the Education Department. Education Officer, Amy Longstaff sold 400 biodegradable balloons over the Summer holidays. The 5 balloons which travelled the furthest by Monday 4th October were awarded a prize.
1st Prize: Libby Crawford - Her balloon travelled to Great Yarmouth.
2nd Prize: Ellie and Jack Harrison - Their balloon travelled to Spurn Point.
3rd Prize: Jillian Wain - Her balloon travelled to Bridlington.
4th Prize: Joanne Barylski - Her balloon travelled to Scarbrough.
5th Prize: Millie Harvey - Her balloon travelled to Dalby Forest, Yorkshire.
The Bowes Museum Education Team would like to thank everyone who purchased a balloon.
