Part of a set of four panels representing the seasons. Each panel is of vertical format, and a woman in a modern/aesthetic costume engaged in a seasonal activity. 'Summer' is represented by a woman watering the ground from a jug, with ivy growing up a wall behind, and a circular dome and tower behind. Each panel is topped by a semi-circle of a design with a central motif of sun-flowers.
