Wedding Belles: A Celebration of Bridal Gowns through the Ages

This exhibition explored the history of bridal fashion since the mid-19th century. Exquisite gowns from the Museum’s extensive wedding dress collection illustrated changing styles, colours and fabrics over the decades.

A series of charming period fashion illustrations, which once belonged to Joséphine Bowes, created an elegant backdrop to the bridal gowns on display.
