Reading Room - will be closed between Christmas and the New Year

Operating on a two-week rota, opening times will be Tuesdays 10.30 – 4.00 & Wednesdays 10.30 – 1.00, alternating with Wednesdays 1.30 – 4.00 & Thursdays 10.30 – 4.00.

The Bowes Museum is a registered charity. Admissions are donation inclusive and can be Gift Aided. For every £1.00 paid the Museum can reclaim 28p. If you are not a UK taxpayer or do not wish to make a charitable donation the admission prices are as follows: Adults £8.15, Concessions £7.25, 6 Month Admission Pass £10.00.
