As the Bowes Museum enters an exciting period of change, investment and transformation, we are seeking to recruit an Estate & Operations Manager to join our team at one of the North’s foremost museums. The role will manage all aspects of maintaining and caring for the fabric of the Grade 1 listed building and Grade 2 listed parkland as well as being responsible for the museum’s Fire Management and Security processes and strategies.
As an active member of the museum’s Extended Management team, and a great people manager leading our Facilities, Business Support and IT teams, you will help us deliver the Bowes’ exciting new vision as a future-thinking museum of artists, designers and makers.
Your teams play a critical role in ensuring our spaces are safe and in the best repair, creating an amazing experience for all our visitors, staff and volunteers. Your operational planning, risk management skills, dynamism and experience, and your ability to work with stakeholders, contractors and agencies, will help us ensure we have a safe and welcoming place for people to visit, that we are compliant with the law, in particular Health and Safety legislation.
