Claire Bentley

As a visual artist, educator and workshop facilitator having worked predominantly in Early Years and Primary education my work has focused on practicing and developing fundamental skills in drawing, painting, collage and printing. My role as Art Subject Leader has allowed me to work on curriculum development from Nursery to Year 6, creating cross-curricular topics that allow myself, children and colleagues to make connections with their identity and their environment within school, the community and the wider world. My freelance art workshops offer a relaxed approach to the making process, taking inspiration from the outstanding beauty both in and around The Bowes Museum.
