These sessions take place in our large picture galleries, which are filled with inspiring works covering a range of styles, subjects and time periods.
Pupils will explore artwork ranging from the 15th to the 20th century and reflecting a diverse range of art styles and techniques. This workshop offers the opportunity to produce creative works in a variety of different styles. Your students will be able to respond to the works in a way that they feel most engaged with, from illustration to observational drawing, as they begin to develop the skills needed to develop work for their portfolio within a museum gallery setting.

We will introduce your pupils to our historical collection, dating back to the Medieval era, where they will explore the artwork and imagery of the period whilst undertaking historical analysis. This workshop encourages critical thinking and research skills by allowing your students to act as the lawmakers that uncover the stories behind various historical sources.
