Artist Makers: Fabric Fossils
Explore the rich textures and patterns of historic garments from the museum’s textile collection with Amy Jowett. Using lace, trims and fabric samples, you’ll create layered fossil-like prints with direct printing techniques like relief and ghost printing. Add drawings or text to enhance your prints and discovering the beauty of pattern, surface and negative space along the way.
Drop-in activity in the Create Space, recommended for ages 8+. Children under 14 must be accompanied.
