Artist Makers: Hidden Histories

Discover hidden histories and untold stories in this hands-on mixed-media workshop with Amy Jowett, inspired by the museum’s collection. Using copies of letters, photographs, newspaper clippings and handwritten notes, you’ll experiment with Wintergreen transfer techniques to reveal ghostly images and forgotten words.

Layer your transferred prints with drawing and collage to build your own imaginative artwork rich in texture, memory and meaning. Additional materials will be available so you can explore, experiment and let your creativity lead the way.

Drop-in activity in the Create Space, recommended for ages 8+. Children under 14 must be accompanied.
