Join us for an inspiring morning with Keith and Callum Scobie-Youngs, the skilled minds behind the remarkable restoration of the Silver Swan. Spearheaded by the renowned Cumbria Clock Company, this project promises to be a true horological masterpiece. Keith Scobie-Youngs, Company Director and Fellow of the British Horological Institute, boasts an impressive track record, having lent his expertise to iconic timepieces like the St James’ Palace Clock and Big Ben. He and his sons, William and Callum, have taken on the Swan conservation project with their unparalleled clockwork mastery.
This ambitious endeavour comes with a price tag exceeding £600,000, and the Museum has already secured a generous £146,342 grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund towards the total cost of £199,142 for the 2023 Swan Conservation project. As we embark on the journey to raise the remaining balance, we invite you to be part of our Crowdfunding Campaign hosted by the FOBM. Purchase your event tickets, and your contribution will be directly channelled into this historic restoration effort. Please don’t miss this chance to make a difference! Together, we can ensure the Silver Swan’s timeless beauty graces generations to come.
