Exclusive behind the scenes tour of Raby Castle

We invite you to share the secrets of Raby Castle on our exclusive Behind the Scenes Tour. Join us as we unlock some of the hidden parts of the castle and reveal rooms, stories and treasures not usually seen by the public. From the magnificent State Bedroom, designed to impress the most important visitors, to the private study of the 10th Lord Barnard, every detail of which remains unchanged since his death in 1964.
This is a special tour allowing a glimpse into smaller, more intimate rooms within the Castle and visitors venturing down narrow passages within the walls, where our friendly Senior Guides look forward to sharing some of the lesser-known stories of Raby Castle and the people who have lived and worked here.

October, Thursday 12th 2023 9.50am, arrival (that is when the Castle gates open from the main road) All guests to park in the main car park and meet outside the Yurt Café where one of the Senior Guides will collect us for the tour.

10am Refreshments will be served prior to the tour beginning.
