Celebrate England’s largest festival of history and culture with a free day out at The Bowes Museum during Heritage Open Days. This year’s theme, Everyday Histories, invites visitors to explore the museum’s galleries, collections and fascinating story in new ways.

Enjoy a packed programme of creative and cultural activities for all ages. Don’t miss Norman Cornish: A Life in Sketchbooks, explore the museum and grounds and see the Silver Swan in action.
