In Conversation with Nathan Coley

Talk
11 Oct 2025
Doors open at 6:30pm, talk starts at 7:30pm

Join Turner Prize nominated artist Nathan Coley for an evening in conversation. Coley is known for his striking text-based artworks and public installations, including You Create What You Will (2014) and Tate Modern on Fire (2017), both currently on display in and around the museum.

This event offers a unique opportunity to hear him speak about his ideas while the works are here in person, offering an insight into the ideas, themes and creative processes that shape his practice. The conversation is followed by a Q&A, giving you the chance to ask your own questions and delve deeper into the thinking behind his work.

Booking required, £18 per ticket via Eventbrite.

Why not make an evening of it? Our award-winning café will be serving food in advance of the event .  Supper can be pre-booked in Café Bowes from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Please contact Café Bowes on 01833 694605 to reserve your table or email events@thebowesmuseum.org.uk. Download the menu below.

Taking place in the Jubilee Room, recommended for young people 15+ and adults, children under 14 must be accompanied.
