Meet the Author Griff Hosker

“Griff Hosker – a grammar schoolboy from Lancashire who taught in the NE for 35 years, has turned an interest in historical research into a lucrative enterprise.
Rooted in the Roman invasion of Britain he created his first novel, The Sword of Cartimandua.
Over 150 novels later he is celebrated internationally as an acclaimed author of epic historical fiction. Griff’s interest is historical eclectic however the main body of his work is set in the medieval period with much of it in the north.
His research has discovered a wealth of entertaining and fascinating details about our area and The Friends of Bowes Museum are delighted to be able to welcome him to talk about these findings on Tuesday September 19th in the Jubilee Room in the Bowes Museum.
