Northumbria University fashion students have reinterpreted the extraordinary life of the museum’s co-founder, Joséphine Bowes, through contemporary design. Inspired by key stages of her life, they present a unique showcase of garments that blend historical research with modern storytelling. This event is part of our Heritage Open Days programme, celebrating England’s largest festival of history and culture.
Taking place in the Fashion and Textiles gallery, recommended for all visitors, children under 14 must be accompanied.
