Volunteering Open Day

Discover what it’s like to volunteer at The Bowes Museum at our upcoming Volunteering Open Day. Enjoy short talks, museum tours and a hands-on taster session with one of the museum’s 14 volunteer teams, alongside opportunities to chat with current volunteers about their experiences.

No previous experience is needed — just curiosity, enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. With roles ranging from gardening and creative workshops to gallery storytelling, events and exhibitions, there are plenty of ways to become part of the museum community.
