Take our crash course in curating, by getting up close to our collection. Choose objects, learn to clean and care for them, and work with curators and artists to create an exhibition for our new gallery space, The HIVE.
This series of workshops is ideal for those wanting to gain first-hand experience in a museum setting. This will help you to develop new skills and an understanding of how to curate a museum gallery space.
This autumn we will be working closely with ceramic artist Megan Randall to respond to the theme ‘Bringing the Outside In.’ Inspired by artwork created by our co-founder Joséphine Bowes and the parklands that surround us, we will create artworks that speak to objects from the collection, chosen to explore our relationship with nature these include: Fashion inspired by Nature, Collecting and Preserving the outside world, Nature in Everyday Design and Natural Materials.
